Title: Food Technologist
What I Do at Voyage: I am part of the R&D Team at Voyage, helping make our products the best that they can be! My focus is primarily on our Bean-Free Coffee. Some of my tasks involve testing out different base ingredients, running trials, conducting sensory tests, and developing flavor formulations.
What a Typical Day at Work Looks Like For Me: I wouldn’t say I ever have a typical day at Voyage, but that’s what makes working here so fun! While my primary duties are to assist with R&D, some days I’m supporting operations with scale up, or helping build out our newly designed lab. Every day brings something new and exciting to work on.
My Favorite Part of Working at Voyage: Getting to work with an awesome team, all of whom are incredibly talented and just as passionate about our products as I am. Plus getting to taste peanut butter and chocolate all day isn’t so bad either.
The Moment I Knew We Were on to Something Special: When I visited in person for the final stage of my interview process and got to meet the team and try the products, I knew that this was something very unique and had potential to have a big impact on the food industry.
Product(s) I’m Most Excited About: While I am a little biased towards the coffee, I am also excited for our peanut butter launch coming soon. I have a few close friends with peanut allergies, and I am looking forward to having them try our Peanut-Free Spread.
My Most Controversial/Unique Food Opinion: Having breakfast food for dinner (pancakes/waffles/bacon and eggs) is superior and tastes better than having breakfast food in the morning.
