Sweets & Snacks: Our (Unofficial) Debut

Now that we’ve had time to decompress after the show (and return to normal after a week filled with copious amounts of candy and the like including yes, Warheads-infused soda 🤢) we’re ready to take a look into our learnings, lessons, and what’s on the horizon for Voyage.
A Voyage That Took a Village
Just like most things we do here at Voyage, gearing up for our first ever trade show (and first time bringing our products to the public) was nothing short of an entire team effort. From our production and operations teams ensuring we had enough product to bring to the show to marketing making sure our booth reflected how far we’ve come, every member of our team played a critical role in allowing us to arrive in Chicago ready to wow.

And while our booth certainly did wow, the inner workings of preparing for such an important event weren’t always glamorous. Case in point? Team Voyage came together to individually wrap 2,000 squares of our Cacao-Free Chocolate! Shoutout to every single member of our team for stepping up and jumping in to get the job done, no matter their department or job function.
Lights, Camera, Action
With this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo being our first ever trade show as a company, we didn’t quite know what to expect. But we came prepared. Armed with samples upon samples showcasing both our Peanut-Free Spread and Cacao-Free Chocolate, we were ready to deliver deliciousness and innovation to those who stopped by.

What could those passing by expect at Voyage’s booth? Individual samples of our Peanut-Free Spread (paired with delicious GF pretzels courtesy of Savor by Suzie), Cacao-Free Chocolate, and the taste (and smell) of freshly baked cookies showcasing both products. While the aroma of hot-out-of-the-oven cookies got folks to our booth, it was our mission and impact of our future-proofed foods that kept them. And their reaction? Everything we had hoped for.
From adults who had suffered through peanut allergies all their lives to food scientists working for the biggest names in chocolate, visitors were intrigued by our new versions of classic favorites, foods that could be available forever and for everyone. Explaining what we do at Voyage isn’t always the simplest task, given we’re replicating our favorite foods in entirely new ways, but our team was up for the task. And upon hearing how our products combine innovative food technology with the nostalgia of the foods we love, they were ready to learn more.
There’s nothing quite like seeing someone enjoy a food they have missed for so long, and with our Peanut-Free Spread, we were able to make that experience a reality. Our biggest success of the show? Showing the power of our future-proofed foods by baking them into everyone’s favorite treats: cookies. We know it’s hard to believe that a chocolate chip cookie without any cocoa or a peanut butter cookie without any peanuts could taste even better than the original, but we’re pretty sure that’s how visitors felt as they came back for seconds (or thirds in some cases 😉).

Ready for Launch 🚀
Now that we’re back home, we’ve got all our attention focused on the official debut of our Peanut-Free Spread! Within the next couple weeks, you’ll be able to stock up on jars of our creamy allergen-free spread and we couldn’t be more excited.
We know that adopting new foods and changing what (and how) we eat is hard, but our reinventions of timeless classics exist to make those transitions more enjoyable and just as delicious. And after three days of people trying them first-hand, we know that our products do just that.
So, get ready to stock up on some of our Peanut-Free Spread next week and once you get your hands on a jar, let us know what you think!
