Role Summary
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our quality team, working closely with the QA Manager. The ideal candidate will manage and improve the day to day routine activities related to Operational Food Safety & Quality and will help establish the Food Safety & Quality systems for new product lines.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Deputy SQF Practitioner and run the Quality department independently in the absence of Quality Manager
-
Oversee overall SQF documentation and maintain it on a regular basis.

Maintenance of SQF system and regulatory requirements to stay compliant everyday
-
Oversee the document control program: update the documents (specs, program, procedures, work instructions etc.) in a timely manner for any changes in process, procedure or system
-
Initial completion of customer document request and coordinate with QA Manager for review and approval
-
Assist QA Manager to improve Supplier Quality Program, qualify new suppliers and maintain existing suppliers’ compliance documentation
-
Qualification of facility items, chemicals and maintaining the required documents
-
Plan for internal audits, develop audit materials and compilation of internal audit reports
-
Assist QA Manager to establish Food Safety Plans and programs for new products
-
Assist QA Manager to establish strong sampling and inspection program
-
Coordinate with Sales and or customer service to ensure the implementation and record keeping of customer complaints program
-
Manage accurate reporting of all in-bound raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, supplies and inventories in storage.
-
Develop and maintain the scientific documentation to support the decision making process while conducting the risk assessment and implementing CAPA.
-
Develop training materials and coordinate with the cross functional team leaders to conduct required trainings and maintain records
-
Routine verification/validation of records and issue corrective action requests
-
Planning and implementation of continual improvement QA projects
-
Create, review and update programs based on GFSI gap assessment
-
Maintain Food Safety Team meeting and other meeting minutes for management commitment records
-
Ensure company is following food safety and GMP practices at all times
-
Oversee third party services: pest control, sanitation etc.
-
Establish strong sanitation and master sanitation schedule
-
Purchasing of QA supplies as needed
-
Assist Quality Manager with other projects as assigned
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Chemistry or other related science majors or equivalent experience
-
5 years of food manufacturing QC/QA experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
At least 2 years of third party food safety audit handling experience
-
One of the GFSI schemes (preferably SQF) and Preventive Control for Human Food trained
-
Possessing a high level of personal initiative and motivation
-
Able to work with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
